The Adidas RS15 Elite SG rugby boots are designed for players who regularly play on wet or muddy grounds, from competitive club rugby to elite rugby. The hybrid sole combines 8 aluminium screw studs at the front (pushing zone, scrum, acceleration) and moulded studs at the rear (receiving zone, braking), providing optimal directional grip in scrum, ruck or impact. The genuine leather forefoot delivers a natural feel of the ball essential for passing or kicking, while the synthetic upper guarantees lightness (340 g in size 42) and water resistance. The padded collar with high-density EVA foam and TPU heel reinforcement limit friction on the Achilles tendon, a sensitive area during explosive directional changes. These hybrid stud rugby boots incorporate a minimum of 50% recycled materials (regenerated polyester fibres) in the upper, without compromising tear resistance (testing exceeding 200 N according to ISO 13934 standard).
The outer sole specific to wet ground (SG) offers a studied stud geometry to evacuate mud and maintain stability underfoot. Compatible with replacement studs FJ6352 (8/11 mm, standard use) or FJ6355 (11/14 mm, extreme conditions), it allows configuration to be adapted according to pitch conditions. The asymmetrical lacing clears the strike zone, an asset for kickers and technical players. The heel reinforcement and reinforced construction support the stresses of heavy forwards in the scrum, with a necessary break-in period of 2 to 3 training sessions to soften the leather forefoot.
What is the difference between hybrid studs and classic screw studs?

Yes, the heel reinforcement and reinforced construction support scrum stresses. Plan for a 2 to 3 training session break-in period to soften the leather forefoot.
Can you play on dry ground with these boots?
Not recommended: aluminium screw studs provide little cushioning on hard ground and increase slip risk. Favour moulded studs (FG) for dry pitches.
